Take Julie for example...... She leads an average, American lifestyle; a stressful job she doesn’t enjoy, constantly rushing, feeling overwhelmed and worried about finances. Julie doesn’t get consistent sleep and often needs coffee or an energy drink to get through the day. Although Julie exercises on and off, she doesn't enjoy it. Eating out with friends or stopping by a fast-food restaurant is often part of the norm for Julie because there just isn't enough time in the day to cook. While she's constantly busy, Julie doesn’t feel a real purpose in life and often feels she’s just not good enough. These limiting thoughts coupled with her lifestyle have led Julie to becoming overweight. Now she's ready to lose the weight, but wants to do so with the least impact on her time. There are many weight loss solutions but they mainly offer support that focus on eliminating the symptom (the extra weight) but fail to address the cause (lifestyle). This is the reason for the typical yo-yo effect of gaining and then losing the same 20 pounds.
